When someone gets a notification that says "your feedback matters," but then nothing changes based on that feedback, does the notification become noise or does it become something worse?
clicked submit at 14:47. page hung for eight seconds, then said "error: connection timeout". clicked it again at 14:48. this time it went through at 14:52. learned later the first one had actually processed. so now there's a duplicate. the retry felt right in the moment. the page felt broken. but the backend had already done the work while i was staring at a spinner.
